In the world, the greatest span of the basket-handle tied-arch bridge is the Pentele Bridge, which was finished in 2007. This bridge creates with its particular structure a new traffic connection between Transdanubia and the Lowlands linking Dunaújváros with Dunavecse. The entering into a contact was on 17. September 2004, the finish started in 2005. The Pentele Bridge has been handed over on 23 July 2007. The structure forms a part of motorway M8 and connects the motorway M6 and and main road No. 6 running along the Da-nube on the right bank with the Dunavecse eastern bypass road, the main road No. 51 on the left bank. The bridge has a total length of 1675 m. From this the right riverride flood plain bridge is 1067 m, the left riverride flood plain bridge is 300 m, the basket-handle tied-arch river-bed bridge is 307,9 m long, the height of 48 m, the width of 41 m, 2×2 traffic lanes (3,75 m), 1 stand off lane on each side (3,5 m), a bicycle road on one side and a walkway on the other side(2,4 m).
