About the Series
Signs, Signs Everywhere There’s Signs series will test your ability
to find signs throughout the metrowest area of Massachusetts. These
signs, in one way or another, will lead you to a cache. The number
of caches in this series is undisclosed, but you must make note of
the official coordinates listed in the cache container at each
cache site. You will use these coordinates to determine the
location of the Signs, Signs Everywhere There’s Signs Finale. To
keep you on your toes, the caches will be released on different
days. Maybe the release dates will only be a few days apart, but
maybe they will be weeks apart.
About SSETS 1
Unless you need to get somewhere in a hurry, there is no need to
visit the posted coordinates. Do not get discouraged, the cache you
seek is within 2 miles of the posted coordinates.
You must first find the trailhead associated with the sign below.
For an added challenge, the trail name has been removed. At the
time the picture was taken, some of the text at the bottom of the
sign had fallen off. The text should read the following:
1.4 mi. to Hudson St.
1.2 mi. to Boundary St.
0.4 mi. to Little Pond Rd.
This information should be enough for you to find the trailhead
from home, but “in-the-field” research can also be used if you
prefer.
Upon successfully finding the correct sign/trailhead navigate 0.190
mi. at a bearing of 298.514 degrees to a smaller than normal sized
cache.
As we find winter-caching the most enjoyable, we made every effort
to ensure winter-friendliness from parking to the cache hide.
Although possible, deep snow will make this more difficult to
find.
