FORNO DA CAL
A cidade de Ponta Delgada comemora 463 anos a 2 de Abril de
2009, dia em que, pelas 11h00, será inaugurada a “Avenida do
Mar” e a “Zona Balnear do Forno da Cal”. Supõe-se
que o forno terá sido edificado no final do Século XIX, princípio
do Século XX.
The city of Ponta Delgada celebrates its 463rd aniversary on the
2nd of April, 2009. On that day at 11am the 'Avenue of Sea' will be
inaugurated, as well as a limesteone oven. The oven is thought to
have been built in the end of the 19th century, beginning of the
20th century.
