.Updated 11/29/22 I placed this cache when this was the New Trail in the 6 ponds east preserve, (13 years ago now). Along the route you'll see the faint ruts of an old woods road and other signs of previous settlers. The narrow winding path starts at the trail post. Follow it into the woods and then southerly, up the big step (now a narrow stairway) and on to the right hand trail at the junction to stage one. (The trail is now well established and marked with green and red diamonds, some with directional arrows). Follow the trailer southerly then loop around for the cache. Each stage has had a little evidence of the past near it. The small cache has a log and pen and some room for trinkets. Enjoy the walk.
