Geocache Description:

1 of 8 caches part of our Monster Quest series. This cache is located in Pawtuckaway State Park.

Birdzilla, also known as American Indian Thunderbird is described as an eight-foot-tall bird with jet black feathers, powerful hind limbs and sharp talons, while more recent sightings describe dark-feathered creatures with wingspans of some 15-20 feet. Legends of so-called thunderbirds can be found throughout Native American folklore and tradition, including accounts of both helpful and dangerous thunderbirds. In the 1970s, a number of giant bird sightings were reported in Illinois, Alaska and Texas; one was even captured on film in 1977 in Illinois.

Cache is a small container with some small trade items, log sheet, pen, and a $1 bill for the first to find. Please take the time and place the cache back as you found it.

Make sure to get the clue on the back of the log sheet to help you find the final Monster Quest cache (GC1PM6Z)

Congrats to golden guiders for the first to find.
