Cca 15x15x8 box by the line of trees opposite the distillery.
The idea of this cache was to allow one to visit a Hungarian
Palinka distillery and let one around Erpatak and Ujfeherto, with
all their curches and lakes. One can visit the small greek catholic
chapel of Erpatak, which was built during the medieval years. The
keys can be colletcted from the 2nd waypoint. On Ujfeherto, a
national monument church was built in 1754. The roman catholic
church , built of stone was erected in 1812, and the third church
of the small town is the one of the greek catholics, built in 1832.
Should one be interested in the history of the area, there is the
museum of Ujfeherto, which was opened in 1995. The place of the
cache was chosen by distillery, because of the Hungaricum made
there. It is the Palinka. The 'Ujfehertoi' sour cherry palinka is
considered to be a national treasure and can be distilled only of a
local type of sour cherry that is being grown in and around
Ujfeherto.
