The answer to the quiz was 18,004. First place to
muzza, second to Sam Carter. The quiz setter is also very pleased
to say that ALL states WERE included in the TOTAL, the missing bit
being 3365.
A little while ago it was indicated on GCA that there were a few
people interested in a mid-week lunch event, so now there will be
one.
A lot of time has been put into finding a reasonable place,
based on such things as accessibility, parking, good meals,
reasonable price, ability to handle different arrival times, etc.
The selected location fulfils most criteria well.
Where: The Geebung Polo Club, 85 Auburn Road, Hawthorn.
Melways Map 45, F10 refers. Or of course, use the coordinates. It
is right beside the Auburn Railway Station on the Camberwell
line.
When:Tuesday, 12th May, 12 noon, to approx 2.00pm.
Note: the place does not open before noon. Come when you
like for as long as you like.
Food: There is a good range of meals ranging from $7.50
for a bowl of chips, and $12 for bar menu items, to more
extravagant if you wish. Sampled sizes were plentiful.
Parking: there is good 2 hour parking in Auburn Road.
Finding us: The plan is to have a clearly visible
Geocaching logo.
