This cache may be a lamb now but it will be a lion in
winter.
Actually, it's not that easy now.I used the geocaching rating
system and it said I should rate this a 2/4.25. I disagree with
that right now, but it will be true with snow or ice. In fact, I
wouldn't even try it in the snow or ice.
The elevation increases dramatically and quickly. If I read my
GPS correctly, the elevation increases about 270 feet within about
400 feet. At times I had to use both hands to grasp while climbing,
but I am a Zebra, not a mountain goat! You may find a slightly
gentler slope than I did.
When you park, notice the kiosk put up by the Northfield Cub
Scout Pack 729. They use the nearby wetland as an Ecology Study
Area.
You can walk on the old road for about 200 feet before you have
to start climbing. Entire walk & climb is .10 mile.
