You can approach this cache three different ways
- Park at the trailhead on Hoosac Rd.
- Park at Conway Station and cross the South River
- While canoeing, kayaking, or tubing the Deerfield River pull in at the confluence of the South River
If you start off of Hoosac Rd. you can either stay on the old railroad bed (suitable for strollers, bikes, etc.) or take the Mahican-Mohawk Trail. They all meet again at remains of the old South River Railroad Bridge.
The trail can be muddy with standing water, so plan ahead.
The cache is about 1.5 miles from this trailhead. Near ground zero care should be taken with small children.
You will be delighted with great views from this area. Each season will offer its own rewards.
The cache is a Lock-n-Lock container.
