Small camoed Lock & Lock located at the trailhead for Winant Park in Concord, NH. This is a Park & Grab cache, but take the time to walk the trails while you're here - there are three other caches on this trail! Use the Related Web Page link to access an online trail map (link valid as of April 2013). Although you can access these trails during the winter, this particular cache would not be considered "winter-friendly". PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, replace cache exactly where you found it!
Thanks to the generous gift of 85 acres of mixed upland forest to the city of Concord by Rivington Winant, as well as the much appreciated cooperation of St. Paul's School for allowing the trailhead parking and the access trail to be on their property, future generations can now enjoy the woods (and views) that Rivington Winant enjoyed as a boy.
Rivington Winant donated the land for the park in memory of his father, John Winant, a three-term New Hampshire governor, St. Paul's master and top official in Franklin D. Roosevelt's administration.
We placed this cache in honor of Rivington Winant's generosity and with the desire for others to become aware of the park and all the other caches that are already in and around Winant Park.
