This cache will give you a walk along the Racquette Beach and the
Cannon Banks.
The racquette, named for it's shape is a protected cove just north
of town. It is the site of some of Digby's earliest wharves and
shipbuilding activity.
In 1794, the Queen's Battery was built on the cannon banks, a piece
of land at the north end of town later known as Robinson's point,
Made up of a small blockhouse, ditch, drawbridge and outer parapet
with five cannons, erosion had destroyed much of the original
battery by 1856.
To open this cache, you need to lift the white lid and unscrew the
blue one. Please put back as found.

October 16, 2009 by Falach-fead (3880 found) This was a great caching experience; definitely one of the most unique caches I have seen. If you can only do one cache in the Digby area, this one should be it. I knew the tides were going to be especially low when we were passing through Digby today so headed over to see what the area looked like. From over 1000 ft away, it looked like it would be close. In the end, I was able to walk out past the cache another 110 feet. Did not pay close attention to the opening instructions and after thinking my cold fingers would never lift the lid, I realized the error in my ways and with an easy twist it was free . With the bottle in hand, I took note (picture) and carried on with the required journey. Not sure if you want to add a link to the description, but I often refer to this one when in need of tide information: (visit link) SL TFTC.[This entry was edited by Falach-fead on Friday, October 16, 2009 at 5:40:39 PM.] [This entry was edited by Falach-fead on Saturday, November 21, 2009 at 8:46:45 AM.]

September 19, 2009 by flusslaufer (1050 found) one of the best caches ever. very cool idea and well executed. more people should give this one i try because A) it is a cool walk along the flats B) it isnt that tricky if you just check the tide charts beforehand.after reading the logs and seeing how few people had found the cache i thought maybe the difficulty or terrain ratings should be higher... but the cache was way easier to find and reach than the previous logs led me to believe. i didnt even find that much mud - went for the cache in my sneakers and yes i did have wet feet but not too mudddy. this was my first try and everything went Zic Zac as they say in german. the best treat was that the owners, whose house overlooks the cache, came out to meet me on my way up from the cache. great to see you guys again and keep up the great hides. July 7, 2009 by villiam (552 found) Last week while walking along the waterfront I noticed this cache and was curious. Later my mother in-law spoke to the cache owner who suggested this was a fun one to do, so I headed the suggestion in the hint and stopped by the local wally mart. When I went out on Saturday during low tide in the afternoon the suggestion in the hint did not help as the tide level was too high. I tried again on Sunday and although slightly lower my arms were going numb trying to get to the cache. In looking at the tide tables Monday morning at quarter to 6 or Today at half past 6 would give me the best chance of retirivng the cache. As I like to sleep I left it till today (which is also my last day in the Digby area before I head back west). Today in sandles I was able to walk right up to it and get it, and read the message in the bottle. Unfortunately my primary GPSr could not deal with the message so back to my temporary base camp I go to rejig the message into something it can use. Then back into town I go to finnally claim this find. This cache marks the 35th day of consistent finds for me! My only question would be, should this not have been classified as a multi rather then a traditional?

July 6, 2009 by 2 GYPSIES WITH NO MOSS BETWEEN OUR TOES (6864 found) Well, we had another shot at it but ran out of land about 100 ft. short of g.z. If we had been back in town an hour earlier, we might have made it. Oh well, that's nature.
