Kun Niinikosken, Myrskylän ja Artjärven rajoja vedettiin,
rajojen yhtymäkohtana toimi suuri kivi kallion reunalla.
Niinikosken miesten kannatellessa isompaa lohkaretta Artjärven ja
Myrskylän miehet latoivat lohkareen alle pienemmät kivet, joiden
päällä kivi makaa edelleen ja tästä saanut nimensä Jalkakivi.
Tosin aikoinaan kun tarinaa on kylillä kerrottu, on kylien
miesten työnjako saattanut vaihdella sen mukaan, millä kylällä sitä
on kerrottu.
Tietoa tarinan ajankohdasta tai alkuperästä ei ole löytynyt,
sillä rajapisteenä kivi on varmasti ollut jo kauan huomiota
herättävän olemuksensakin ansiosta ja mainitaan ainakin Raikkolan
kylän (nyk. Niinikoski) rajankäynnissä 1782.
Kätkö löytyy tarinan hengessä, ja vaikka perille ei vie teitä
eikä juuri polkujakaan, niin paikalle pääsee kätevästi pellon
vierustoja ja metsäuria pitkin.

When the borders of Niinikoski, Myrskylä and Artjärvi were set,
the border point was a big stone on the edge of a rock. The men of
Niinikoski were holding up the large boulder while the men of
Artjärvi and Myrskylä were stacking smaller stones underneath it.
The big stone is still lying there and it was named Jalkakivi
("Foot stone").
When the story was told in the villages, the tasks of the men
may have varied according to which village the story was told
in.
The origin of the story is not found, since the stone has been a
border point certainly for a very long time and it is mentioned in
the demarcation of the Raikkola village (now Niinikoski) in
1782.
The cache can be found in the spirit of the story. There are no
roads to the cache. You can get to the location by walking on the
edges of fields and trails in the forest.
