December 4, 2009 by GordEtob (4602 found) Our last cache in California before heading home, and it turned out to be the most unpleasant. We located the cache quickly and were in the process of signing it when Eagle Eyes noticed an old muggle approaching. We fixed our attention on the freeway and watched the traffic. The muggle - an older, heavyset and bearded frumpy looking guy - started calling out "hey" as he approached. We figured he was going to beg for money, so we ignored him. He finally stopped a few feet away and practically yelled "HEY". We turned and he yelled "GET OUT OF HERE!!!" We said that this was a public lane and he screamed "THIS IS PRIVATE PROPERTY!". We exchanged a few angry words and just stood there. We stalled a bit, and then moved to the cul-de-sac close by. When old grumpy left, Eagle Eyes slipped back and rehid the cache.
