Those of us around in the last century will remember when we could go out for a meal that wasn’t pre-made and frozen. Long before today’s steak houses, of pre-portioned, pre-prepared, vacuum packed meals, there was a dinner house that was legendary for fresh homemade meals.
Valles’ Steak House was known up and down the east coast for the steaks and prime rib cut right off the side of beef, by their in house butchers.
The seafood and lobsters brought in fresh and alive, prepared by well trained chefs and cooks, under strict company guidelines that made government guidelines look like mere suggestions. The breads and deserts and pastries all made fresh daily by the in house baker. The produce was delivered fresh daily, including in season local veggies and fruit, prepared and served by true experts. The soups and sauces were made from scratch daily. The food and service was five star ,the prices average. The seating could accommodate 350+ and the place was always full. You could sit down and enjoy without being rushed. The waitress and bar staff was well trained and knew what their clients wanted. You truly had it done your way. This cache is placed at what is left of Valles’. Though not as mouth watering as what I remember at this location, this micro is sure to satisfy . No Tipping, byop
