During our first vacation in Crete in 2007 we discovered a huge
construction site . According to the locals it was a big dam to
generate a huge fresh water reservoir. In 2007 (May) the valley was
still a green area with a bit of water. In 2008 (May) the water has
risen to a higher level. Near the dam we could spot a small tower
(at that moment use unknown).
This year we returned to the Potami Dam and it was filled up
completely with water and the little tower disappeared under the
water surface.
On May 24th 2009 we passed by the dam again and we witnessed the
inauguration.
The cache is a micro so be sure to bring your own pen ! The film
canister contains only a log book.
