Geocache Description:

When I got in geocaching in 2012, some of the first caches I found (and some of my favorites) were from Partok's waterfall series. Partok has since given up hiding and maintaining caches, but I thought this wonderful series should be preserved for future cachers to find. With Partok's blessing, and with my great pleasure, I bring to you the eleventh hide from his memorable collection of waterfall caches.

These falls are off a dam on the Connecticut river in S. Hadley Falls, MA. This dam has been here quite awhile. And while looking in the direction of the falls, you'll note a canal in front of you. Long ago this was once used to get boats and barges up/down over the dam. Another nearby cache is by a firehouse museum that can tell you more about this. Across the river you can see a small hydro power plant as well as a fish ladder that's open to the public at certain times of the year. Whats unusual about it is that the fish get an elevator ride to complete their trip over the falls. Instead of the usual series of steps for them to leap over. Please re-hide cache as well (or better) than found. Thanx.
