Kevyt rannikkopatteri Varisniemellä
Koko Hankoniemi vuokrattiin talvisodan jälkeen Moskovan rauhassa 13.3.1940 Neuvostoliitolle merisotilaalliseksi tukikohdaksi, johon se toi lähes 30 000 sotilaan tukikohdan. Neuvostoliittolaiset suorittivat Hankoniemellä laajoja linnoitustöitä.
Täällä sijaitsi venäläisten rakentama kevyt rannikkopatteri.
HUOM ! Älä mene suorinta tietä kätkölee vaan mieti mikä olisi paras vaihtoehto. Kalliot ovat sateella liukkaita. Tosin vaihtoehtoja Terraimeen on 3.5 - 5.0 oman valinnan mukaan 😀
The whole cape of Hanko was rented to the Soviet Union as a naval base under the peace treaty of Moscow (13. March 1940), which ended the Winter War. The Soviet Union brought a garrison of 30,000 men to Hanko. The Soviets did extensive building in Hanko, and there are still ruins of fortifications in the centre of the town.
