This is a 2-part multi. PLEASE, THERE IS NO NEED TO MOVE ANY STONES IN THE ROCK WALLS! The caches will be available in the winter, although probably a bit more difficult to get to and find. The trail is a hard-packed foot or bike trail. Use caution, though, as there are many tree roots across the path. Also, it can be muddy after rain.

Grenville Park is a 100+ acre park located along the Ware River. I’ll take this opportunity to give my personal thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Grenville Gilbert, who donated the land to the Town of Ware in 1923 in memory of their son Grenville Gilbert, Jr. (The map will show the listing as Greenville Park. This is an incorrect spelling.) During your visit, there is a variety of ways to enjoy the park, for individuals or families, year round. For more information, visit Town of Ware - Recreation .

The park is only open from dawn to dusk, so plan accordingly. While the park is open year round, the road that loops throughout the park is seasonal. When the park road is open, there is parking available in several areas throughout the park.; however, winter visitors will need to use the main parking area. The distance to the cache(s) will depend on where you park. If you plan your visit when the rhododendrons are in bloom, you are in for a treat!

The first stage is a small cylinder tube, about 2.5 inches long. (An "Airborne" type container.) The second is a plastic Lock and Lock, approximately 6x6x4, containing small swag items for both kids and adults. There is an unactivated TB prize for FTF.

Boy.. these two stages were not really near each other. I walked from stage one in one long, dangling, convoluted path from paved road through woods and back to paved roads. I ended up very close to where we originally came in. I took a princess spinner TV toy (I think?) and left hot pink play doh. TFTC!

Stopped in to check up on both legs of the cache today. Both are in good shape, but #2 was wide out in the open. This has been a consistent problem every time we've checked it, so we are not sure if the cache is falling from it's spot or if it is just being left that way. Did a little "restructuring" and hope it will stay hidden in the future. Please be sure to put back BOTH parts of the multi EXACTLY as they are hidden so as not to risk their being muggled away. Lots of people visit this area. Thanks!

Congrats to BlueHerron57 on your first find and your new venture into geocaching. (Isn't it a blast?) I was happy to host your first cache! LOL Welcome aboard!

Our first geocache! Took two tries to get to stage one-but finally found it. Second stage not bad.
Took a towel, left a pencil topper.
On to more-thank you!

#500 All bundled up, CacheMAP joined us today for a nice geowalk in this park. Stuck with the main trail and after a short search found the clever first stage. We decided to go up the hill and head back following the loop. Took a little coaxing but freed the cache and signed the log. Fun multi in a nice park. TNLN SL TFTC
