This cache is located in Greenfield State Park in an area that is called Beaver Pond. It was placed with many other Rat caches for the NH River Rat Event. To avoid paying an entrance fee during summer, opening times, public parking is just across the street from the entrance to the state park park. The hike in will of course be much longer :-)

Swamp Thing is more of a land Rat but loves to get muddy while checking out anything that moves. And there is plenty here that moves, huge frogs, fish and plenty of snakes. Ok, tons of insects that love to bite you too ! If you happen to be here at night during the summer you will see lots of fireflies dancing about the pond to the loud croaking of the bullfrogs.

If you do approach this cache during night time hours DO NOT park at the campers beach as cars or rather the beach area is closed after sunset and you will be stopped by the State Park Staff as they patrol this area all night long! Best parking is the main parking and walk to this site.
