Sombrero - on the way to the cache
The Sombrero de Chasna with its 2420 meters has its name from its shape, which looks like a hat. Since some years I wanted to climb it up once, as it offers you, like some of the other mountains, which define the Caldera, great views into the Caldera and to the south of the island.
Park near 28°11.312 N 016°39.409 W, where the path with the name TS10 starts. Follow the TS10 sign and the white dots and arrows and find the following waypoints:
A - Is there a 'TS10' sign at WP1?:
Yes = 6
No = 7
B - Is there a 'TS10' sign at WP2?:
Yes = 3
No = 8
C - Is there a 'TS10' sign at WP3?:
Yes = 0
No = 1
D - Is there a 'TS10' sign at WP4?:
Yes = 2
No = 8
Note 1: At WP2A be VERY careful. Do NOT turn right to follow the well marked path, but go straight up. After around 30 meters, you will get back to a visibale path marked with the white dots and arrows.
Note 2: At WP5 you turn left, follow the path to the cache, then return to WP5, where you again turn left and walk down (following the white dots and arrows) to get back to your starting point.
Now calculate the Coords of the Cache location according to the following easy rule:
28°11.5AB N 016°38.7CD W
and walk further up to the top.Have fun.....

El Sombero de Chasna con sus 2420 metros tiene su nombre de la formación de su cumbre, que parece mucho a un sombrero. Ya desde años he querido subirlo, porque él como otros cumbres, delimitando la Caldera, ofrece vistas bonitas sobre la Caldera y el sur de la isla.
El desnivel total es de aproximadamente 400 metros (2050 hasta 2420). Distancia 7 kilómetros más o menos (ida y vuelta). Buen calzado, agua y algo a comer.
Aparque cerca de: 28°11.312 N 016°39.409 W, donde el camino con nombre TS10 comienza. Sigue el TS10 señal y los puntos blancos y flechas blancas y encuentra los WP siguentes:
A - ¿Hay un señal 'TS10' al WP1?:
Si = 6
No = 7
B- ¿Hay un señal 'TS10' al WP2?:
Si = 3
No = 8
C - ¿Hay un señal 'TS10' al WP3?:
Si = 0
No = 1
D - ?Hay un señal 'TS10' al WP4?:
Si = 2
No = 8
Ahora calculas las coordenadas del cache según la regla siguente:

y sigues hasta el cabezo. Que te diviertes....
Aviso 1: Al WP2A tengas MUY cuidado. NO sigues a la derecha al camino visible, pero subes más allá por arriba. Después de unos 30 metros verás otra vez el camino visible marcado con puntos blancos y flechas.
Aviso 2: Al WP5 te giras a la izquierda y sigues el camino hasta el cache. Luego volviendo al WP5 te giras a la izquierda por abajo (siguendo los puntos blancos y flechas) hasta vuelves al arrancadero.

Der 'Sombrero de Chasna' mit seinen 2420 Metern trägt seinen Namen 'Hut von Chasna' wegen seiner Form, die einem Hut sehr ähnlich ist. Seit Jahren wollte ich ihn einmal 'erwandern', da er ähnlich einigen anderen Gipfeln, die die Caldera begrenzen, eine tolle Aussicht in die Caldera und in den Süden der Insel bietet.
Höhendifferenz ca. 400 Meter (2050 bis 2420). Länge der Wanderung etwa 7 km (hin und zurück).
Parke in der Nahe von: 28°11.312 N 016°39.409 W, von wo der Weg mit dem Namen TS 10 anfängt. Von da an folge dem TS10 Zeichen und den weißen Punkten und Pfeilen zu den einzelnen WPs:
A - Befindet sich ein 'TS10' Zeichen am WP1?:
Ja = 6
Nein = 7
B - Befindet sich ein 'TS10' Zeichen am WP2?:
Ja = 3
Nein = 8
C - Befindet sich ein 'TS10' Zeichen am WP3?:

D - Befindet sich ein 'TS10' Zeichen am WP4?:

Jetzt berechnest Du die Koordinaten des Cache gemäß der folgenden einfachen Regel:
28°11.5AB N 016°38.7CD W
und läufst weiter zum Gipfel. Viel Spaß....
Hinweis 1: Beim WP2A sei SEHR vorsichtig. Gehe NICHT nach rechts, um dem gut sichtbaren Weg zu folgen, sondern gehe geradeaus weiter. Nach etwa 30 Metern erkennst Du wieder den gut ausgezeichneten Pfad mit den weißen Punkten und Pfeilen.
Hinweis 2: Beim WP5 gehst Du nach links und folgst dem Pfad bis zum Cache. Dann zurück am WP5 gehst Du wieder links nach unten (weiter den weissen Punkten und Pfeilen folgend) bis zum Ausgangspunkt.
