On September 8th, 1966, a new type of sci-fi television show made
it's debut on NBC, and it's impact is still felt today.
Many TV characters have their own catch phrases. Jimmie Walker had
"Din-o-myte". Barney Fife was known for "Nip it in the bud". And,
who can forget "Goodnight, John Boy".
The title of this cache is perhaps the most well known catch phrase
from Star Trek. And, the one doing the beaming, generally, was
Scotty, played by James Doohan.
I had the honor of meeting Mr. Doohan in the early 80s when he made
a stop at Ball State University. He seemed a gracious and friendly
man, and I'm glad I had a chance to meet him.
Take a look around and see if you can figure out why we chose to
put this cache here.
The cache itself is a d-con container, and you'll need to bring
your own writing instrument. There's room for a few trade items in
the container. Please be careful of where you step, and, as always,
please practice CITO as necessary.
NOTE: At certain times of the day, muggle activity may be high.
Please be discrete!
