Excellent cache. As one who is afraid of heights my legs shook quite a lot. But I managed to accomplish all three. Came away with quite a few war wounds as well...

This multi can be intimidating. The first stage looks really brutal. With prior knowledge of what had happened to another cacher, I didn't want that to happen today after seeing drainhook slip a little while demonstrating I decided to go and get my rope and climb up to the first stage, I figured since I don't have the height that was the only way I was going to be able to grab it. It was a fun climb up, I haven't got to use my rope in a while but you couldn't tell, I was up to the cache in no time.
The second stage was fun also. First lostsoleky went up and almost got attacked by a territorial squirrel, I guess that was his tree. That was just too funny. Finally landon went up and grabbed the cache.
Then off to the final stage we all went. Compared to the other stages, this one was not that bad.
Thanks for a well done multi!

Thanks to some awesome tree climbers I was able to log this.... With the master slipping on this one there was no way I could get there....The first stage was intimadating enough, but then there is the second stage which defeated one of our group....but he regrouped and got the final.

Thanks for an awesome day.

This was my favorite of the day. Basically because I attempted all three stages. I was wary of this one because of my knowledge of Sommerfamilys fall on the 1st stage last year. I didn't want to be a stastic on this one.
Drainhook gave me some tips on the stage and because of my 6"3 frame I scaled up with my back against one of the trees. I only made it about 7 feet and then we let Liyah go up using her own method. She climbed it with a rope she brought and honestly made it look easy. Drainhook was even impressed with her madness of her method. Landondena also did this one as well to not be outdone.
I went up again on the 2nd stage again with a tip from Drainhook that got me up to the 1st level. Got up a pretty good distance but again I could muster up the courage for the last part and bailed out to let Landondena (much, much better climber than I'll ever be) finish this one up. He again made it look easy from the ground and made me wonder why I didn't forge on.
Once at the final I wasn't going to be denied. I'll admit the final was the easiest but I had to complete one of them on this cache. Dropped by pen during signing but somehow had another in the pocket. This was alot of fun.
Also will take this oppurtunity to thank Sommerfamily for setting up our meeting with Drainhook. Made it that much more fun.
I think this makes trees 9,10 and 11 on the day.

It was a Cincinnati attack on the Capital City! To call this one "notable" would be an understatement! First, it has become local legend for the Cincinnati cachers how dangerous this cache can be. One of our own came to try to conquer this cache but came away with broken bones instead. When we got to GZ at Stage 1, it was already marked in my mind as someone else's duty to accomplish. Drainhook, who had accompanied us most of the day, decided to give us a demonstration. When he slipped after making it up more than a few feet, our sphincters slammed shut with almost an audible sound. Exlax could not have had any effect on us at that point! LostSoleKY tried to emulate the CO. At that, he was totally successful. Although he didn't get as high as DH, he did slip and show us a similar landing. Liyah decided the use of rope would be more effective and successfully reached the container. Armed with the coordinates for Stage 2, we paused to let Landondena attempt an even different technique. He made it! Thankfully, his legs were long enough to get him the leverage he needed. Only needing a touch to satisfy himself, he was on the way back down, ever so carefully. Still a ways to go, he gets a phone call from none other than the previous Cincinnati casualty! Unable to pass up the "nah nah nah" moment, he answered it while leg-locked in place. We all on the ground could do nothing but roll on the ground laughing at the ironic timing. After completing the call, all were back on track to Stage 2. A much easier climb, LostSoleKY tackled it to seemingly redeem himself. After getting to a comfortable spot, a local resident took umbrage at what he was doing. A squirrel who apparently lived there was very upset thaqt one of those ground inhabitors had the audacity to invade his territory. It was all over the place, even almost jumping on LostSoleKY's head at one point. MAD SQUIRREL! It was hilarious! I don't know if it was the tree, or the squirrel, but Liyah had to make the climb to keep a healthy respect for the KY contingent. Landondena made the ultimate grab as his 8 ft. 16 in. frame allowed him to get it without having to climb but half way up. It was off to Stage 3. Not to be denied, LostSoleKY made the climb and the grab. We have to work on his powers of observation as he performed the task with the cache container in place although he could have done so from a less precarious position. It was a good thing he took 2 pens with him as one hit the ground before he had the log ready. Finally, the task was complete! Complete except for one minor detail. There was this minor detail of recovery. After a brief rest and assessment of body parts, we were ready to move on. This was one interesting hide. Next time, I'm going to have to elbow Marty out of the way at some point!
