Little Long Pond Paddle
. The listed coordinates are for the entrance to the parking lot. You do not need to leave your kayak or canoe to find this cache: no bushwhacking or wading required. Small tethered cache with log and pencil. Print out the cache page and fill in the answers as you float by. This pond has lots of turtles and fish and is clear enough for you to see them. Osprey and swallows will be overhead. A very pretty and relaxing setting.
Cache Description: Updated on 4/23/14, 4/30/15,4/30/17, 5/8/19 and once again on 5/30/22. Hints and reference points reworked due to changes in reality. Make sure to print out and bring the current waypoints and hints if you use paper.
Winter was tough on this cache (it disappeared) so the final has been relocated and some of the clues changed. I've added reference points (A-F) to indicate approximately where to go to find the answers. The points are laid out in a counterclockwise route around the pond, but feel free to choose your own path. I suggest you print out the waypoint list and write your answers on the sheet as you find them, then substitute the numbers for the letters in the secret formula to solve for the final.
Cache container is twice tethered in place in a particular way. Look before you detatch it and replace in the same manner after you sign in. Easy to do from your boat.
