Geocache Description:

The cache is hid just a few meter from the direction stone (hougaku ishi) which was founded by one of the Japanese ancient pioneers of Geography of Japan.

The cache is in Shikinejima Island, one of the islands which can be accessed from Tokyo, Japan.
The cache is hidden near by "the direction stone" (Hougaku Ishi).
"The direction stone" was placed by Mr. Inou Tadataka, a Samurai of Japan (1745-1818) who made the first accurate Japanese map. He was walking around the Japan and made one of the most accurate maps in the world at his time. All geocachers need to go there as his off-springs!
The place is on the top of Kanbiki Observation Deck area, where you can see the paramount view of beautiful ocean. But after enjoying the view, you need 10 minutes walk to the top. The area is rocky although there is a trail for walkers. Kids can climb up so don't worry, but you need to wear shoes.
The cache is hid just near by the direction stone. Anyway, stand on the stone first to remember Mr. Inou, then look around.
