Schrodinger's (Manx) Cat Multi-cache
greg3: Cache containers keep disappearing and the original hiding spot for one is now under a fallen tree so I’m giving up on it and archiving this one.
Thanks to everyone who hunted for and found the “cats”…. Hope you enjoyed it!

This cache is based on one I saw in Jersey which in turn was inspired by Schrodinger’s Cat, a famous thought experiment
THE SCIENCE BIT
Schrodinger’s Cat was proposed by Erwin Schrodinger in 1935 to illustrate the unusual aspect of Quantum physics that said that sub atomic particles exist in all possible states until you observe or measure them at which point they settle on one particular state. (in other words you can only say with certainty what they are doing when you look at them)
In his experiment (which he never planned to do!! He proposed it to encourage discussion on the drawbacks of quantum theory) he imagined a cat in a box along with a vial of poison, set up so there was a completely random 50% chance of the poison being released in one hour. According to quantum theory, after an hour the cat could be dead or alive and therefore exists as a mixture both states until you open the box at which point it becomes either dead or alive.
THE CACHE(S)
Being in the Isle of Man, my version naturally uses a Manx Cat!!
Legend has it that the Manx Cat lost it’s tail during the Great Flood when it was chopped off in the door of Noah’s Ark. At the above co-ordinates (within Groudle Glen) you’ll find reference to this in the form of some advice that Noah and the cat should have followed. Here you will also find a magnetic nano containing 2 sets of co-ordinates (one in Groudle Glen and one in Molly Quirk’s Glen) Each is for an identical box but only one contains the cache (log book swaps etc) the other is empty! Of course, if Schrodinger was right, the cache exists at both locations... until you open the box, so choose wisely and good luck!!!
The actual cache contains Manx Cat themed swaps and a Manx Crown from 1970 (with a Manx Cat on) for the FTF. When posting logs please try not to give away the location of the actual cache (I intend to swap them over from time to time anyway).
GPS co-ordinates are a bit dodgy due to tree cover but I’ve taken numerous readings and settled on averages that I’ve found to be consistently within 5 m of each location. But in case you have trouble getting a decent fix I’ve posted some hints.
