BONUS CACHE
Formula for Coordinates
Please note that the listed coordinates are for car parking
only, and are not the bonus coordinates. To obtain the coordinates
for this cache, you need to collect the clues from the other caches
in the series, and use the formula :-
N = 50.AB.CDE
W = 000.FG.HIJ
'The bonus Ball' .. now to get home...
My trail finishes here as the scouts have laid caches on the
remainder of the trail. So you now have 3 options to get home
....
OPTION 1) Carry on ball spotting & catch bus.
Use the balls as waypoints to get home :-
BALL 10 at N50 55.166, W 0 47.566
BALL 11 at N50 54.995, W 0 47.439
Just after the house is a footpath sign headed left. Take this
footpath at N50 54.907, 0 47.205 and follow it up the hill
BALL 12 at N 50 54.903, W 0 47.151
BALL 13 at N 50 54.790, W 0 46.839
Keep following the signposts and footpath straight on until you get
to the style. You will then come out into a footpath in a field.
The scouts hut and field is to the right
Head for the old railway arch at N50 54.561, 0 46.498
Go through the arch and keep going to the road. Turn left and
follow the pavement to the bus stop at N 50 54.540, W 0 46.246. Ask
the bus driver for 'cocking hill'. It should cost £2.60. Sunday
service is a bit odd, but Monday - Saturday is normally 3 and 33
minutes past the hour
OPTION 2) New caches
There are some new caches added to the end of this series - 15.1 to
15.3. These will take you back to the main road, and then it's
about 5 minutes walk from there back to the car park. Please mind
the busy road !
