A slightly steep but not terribly long hike up to a nice large exposed rock area. Great place for a picnic. Be careful with children on the top, fairly large and steep slopes of the rock!
Please note; When scouting for a hiding spot we found a fairly large snake skin in a small cave like depression under the edge of a large boulder a couple hundred feet or so away on the north-east edge of the slope.
Nice walk in an area with established old logging roads. Trail gets a bit steep and footing can be a bit loose. Driveway at N 43 12.203 W 071 50.524 PLEASE DO NOT BLOCK THE ACCESS ROAD. THIS ROAD IS USED BY OFF ROADERS AS WELL AS OTHERS FAIRLY OFTEN. THANK YOU.
Cache is a standard size ammo can hidden in an area that can be very beautiful, especially in the fall. We saw moose tracks and droppings on the trail the day of the hide. Cache contents to start are your standard trinkets and include a couple of flashlights, a cdr disk, a deck of cards, some cars, toy balls, and more. LOTS OF GOODIES HERE!!!
Also included to start a Carona TB the owner is trying to get to Canada.
PLEASE REHIDE WELL. Our boys truly enjoy a bit of a search as I am sure others do as well.
This is an area that, unfortunately, occasionally gets littered in. A great area to practice a little CITO, so bring along a grocery bag if it suits you.
