This cache was originally going to be named, “On the Weigh to Connecticut” but when doing a little research we learned that Route 6 runs 3205 miles from Provincetown, Massachusetts to Bishop, California. It is the 2nd longest highway in the US. In Rhode Island, Route 6 was once a major truck route requiring the need to regulate the weight of the trucks at Weigh Stations. Many stations have closed down since traffic patterns have changed.
What a great vacation idea, caching across the country on Route 6!
This cache is large enough to hold a few Travel Bugs at one time. It could even be used as a TB Hotel.
While in the area, be sure to visit “California Exchange” GC10ARB.
