Difficulty 5 (Ontario Mini-Fizzy 9 Challenge) Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

Keith Watson: Since I have placed this cache I have come to the conclusion that because of the restrictions in the requirements that this cache is not really fair to everyone. I would rather my caches be found and enjoyed by everyone. To be fair to the people that have found it I will be archiving the cache rather than removing the restrictions. To anyone who has been trying to complete the requirements I apologize and hope you visit the new listing for the cache and enjoy the find.

Geocache Description:

Difficulty 5
(Ontario Mini-Fizzy 9 Challenge)

A miniature version of the classic 81 "Fizzy" Challenge. This challenge cache is one of a series of nine mini-fizzy challenges focused on a specific difficulty level.

This cache IS at the posted coords. You may not claim a find on this cache until you have met the requirements of this Challenge cache. This actual physical cache has a Difficulty/Terrain rating of 5.0/3.0

The original idea for this cache came from GC1MCZZ - Five Fives (Eatonville Mini-Fizzy Challenge) by K2D2 and is also based on GC11E8N - Well Rounded Cacher (The Fizzy Challenge) by Kealia in honour of the cacher FizzyMagic.

This is a "Challenge Cache" and hence must meet all of the Groundspeak guidelines in regards to a Challenge Cache. In order to log this "Difficulty 5.0" Mini-Fizzy Challenge cache as a find, you MUST find nine separate Difficulty 5.0 caches. Each of the nine caches must have a different Terrain rating from 1 to 5. In order to level the playing field, only caches which you have found AFTER the publication of this cache will qualify towards this Challenge.

Rules Summary

  1. All 9 caches must have a Difficulty rating of 5.0.
  2. Each of the 9 caches must have a different Terrain rating.
  3. Only new finds, found on or after September 9, 2009 (09/09/09), will qualify for this challenge.
  4. Each of the 9 caches must have a different cache owner.
  5. If you are a premium member, you should create a public Bookmark which includes your caching name in the title. It must also include the 9 qualifying caches that you have found which meet the requirements of this challenge. You should then link your Bookmark to the cache page. In the comments field of each of the caches in the Bookmark, state the Terrain rating of the cache along with the date that you found the cache on. Alternatively, if you are not a premium member, in your Found It log, please include the 9 qualifying cache names, GC codes, Terrain ratings and dates for when you found each of the 9 qualifying caches.
  6. This Challenge cache can not be used as one of the qualifying caches.
  7. Find this physical cache and sign the log book after you have met the requirements of this cache.
  8. If you are unsure of any of the rules or requirements for logging this cache as a find, please feel free to ask one of the nine participants.

**As an optional extra Challenge, see if you can find 9 different cache types to represent your 9 qualifying caches for this Challenge Cache.

The reason for the difficulty is the container itself. It shouldn’t be hard to find, but unless you are the man of steel, you may need a 1 ½” wrench to remove the end cap. One end will come off easier than the other. It is up to you to figure it out. Please make sure the seals are compressed when you place the cache back to keep the water out.

Please try the other caches placed as part of the Ontario Mini-Fizzy Challenge series.
