The Lake Tyres area is a great place to come and explore or just
relax and take in the scenery.
Apart from trying your hand at some fishing in the lake and on the
Ninety Mile Beach there is Lake Tyers Forest Park which covers
7,100 hectares, extending from Lake Tyers Beach to Mount Nowa Nowa.
The park offers low impact bush camping in a natural environment.
There are several picnic areas, beautiful bush walks and forest
drives, and naturaly plenty of beautiful beach sand to wander
along.
This cache is hidden near a lesser known lookout where you will
get some great views of the lake and 90 mile beach.
You can drive quite close to GZ on an unsealed track that is a bit
rough in places.
Please keep to formed roads.
Once you find the cache we recomend heading down to the
Waterwheel Beach Tavern for a hot/cold drink, snack or full meal
while taking in a different view of the lake and beach from the
open balcony.
Please rehide the cache as if it were your
own.
