Um auf den Gipfel zu gelangen gibt es mehrere
Aufstiegsvarianten.
Startpunkte gibt es in Hinterwildalpen sowie Gams.
Ein Tourvorschlag wäre vom Gamsforst aus, durch den Rauchgraben,
auf den Buchberg. Von dort weiter Richtung Goßkreuz und durch den
Goßgraben retour zum Ausgangspunkt.
There are different variants to reach the
summit.
There are starting points in Hinterwildalpen and Gams.
For example you can start from Gamsforst and walk through the
'Rauchgraben' to the highest point of the Buchberg. From there hike
to the rock with a cross on its top (Goßkreuz) and through the
'Goßgraben' back to the starting point.

Folge der Forststrasse bis zum Schranken. Unmittelbar davor
zweigt bei
Follow the forestry street uphill to a
barrier. Rightwards you can see a small path at

rechts ein kleiner Pfad ab.
Von hier geht es anfangs entlang des Baches durch den
Rauchgraben.
Leider ist der teils relativ steile Weg eher spärlich markiert,
folge daher am besten den zahlreichen Steinmännchen hinauf zu

Nimm' den Weg links Richtung Osten, bis du die Saurüssler-Alm
erreichst.
Vom Plateau ist es jetzt nur mehr ein kurzer Weg zum
Buchberg-Gipfel.
Now take the left path eastwards until you
reach an alpine hut (Saurüssler-Alm).
From here you will reach the peak soon.
Der Cache befindet sich einige Meter unterhalb des
Gipfelkreuzes, vor Blicken einigermaßen geschützt bei

Folge nun dem anfangs nicht markierten Steig weiter Richtung
Goßkreuz. (Auf dem Weg dorthin solltest du die Gögal-Alm
passieren.)
Vom Kreuz geht es durch den Goßgraben zurück, bis du später auf die
Forststrasse gelangst, welche dich wieder zum Bauernhof
führt.
Now follow the path until you reach the
'Goßkreuz'. (On the way you will pass another alpine hut called
'Gögal-Alm'.)
From the cross walk through the 'Goßgraben' back to the forestry
street, which leads you to the farm where you started the
tour.
