Near a lake created by a dam on the Shelldrake River, Terrain is relatively level but site may get a bit overgrown at times. Will need to follow path from boat launch parking along lake and across the dam. Path divides after the dam but if you stay left it will bring you close.
The Shelldrake Flooding area is a great spot to catch northern pike and perch along with some bluegill or shore fish for small perch, bluegill and some good size rock bass on either side of the dam.
Shelldrake is also the name of a ghost town that once existed in the area during the time of the logging boom and while the fishing industry was still going strong.
