Deutsche Beschreibung
Dieser Cache führt Dich auf den höchsten Gipfel des Trenchtling.
Der Hochturm bietet eine phantastische Aussicht tief ins
Hochschwabgebiet.
Es gibt mehrere Möglichkeiten den Gipfel zu erreichen.
1. Vom Präbichl über den Lamingsattel
Parke am Ende der Laufstraße in der Nähe des Kristallstüberls.
Folge dem Weg 871 in Richtung Leobner Hütte. Bei N47°31.714,
E014°58.462' befindest du dich in der Nähe der Talstation der
Materialseilbahn zur Hütte. Hier biegst du rechts in den Weg 870
Richtung Trenchtling - Lamingsattel - Handl-Alm ein. Jetzt geht es
einige Zeit bergauf und bald schon erreichst du den Lammingsattel
(N47°32.205',014°59.000'). Hier bietet sich bereits ein
Vorgeschmack auf den Ausblick den du vom Hochturm aus haben wirst.
Nun geht es durch Latschen, dem Weg Richtung Hochturm entlang zum
Wildfeld. Kurz nachdem du die freie Fläche erreichst (N47°32.071',
E014°59.247') bietet es sich an nach rechts abzubiegen um dem Cache
Auf der Mauer einen Besuch abzustatten. Um zum Hochturm zu
kommen quere, immer leicht ansteigend dem Weg folgend, den Hang.
Bei N47°31.927', E15°00.339' führt dich ein letzter steilerer
Aufstieg auf den Gipfel.
2. Vom Hiaslegg über den Edelweißboden
Hier kannst du beim Cache
Hiaslegg starten. Diesen Weg bin ich selbst noch nicht
gegangen, aber er soll aufgrund der vielen Blumen auf der
Hochfläche der schönere sein. Mehr Informationen findest du zB

Nimm genug zu trinken mit, da es unterwegs keine Hütte und im
oberen Teil auch keine Quelle gibt. Die Leobner Hütte ist zur Zeit
geschlossen.
Der Cache liegt ca. 100m vom Gipfelkreuz entfernt unter einem
leicht überhängenden Felsen und zwar so, dass weder er noch Cacher
unmittelbar absturzgefährdet sind. Aufpassen solltest Du natürlich
trotzdem.

This cache will bring you on the highest summit of the Trenchtling.
The Hochturm offers a phantastic vista of the Hochschwab
range.
There are different possibilities for reaching the summit.
1. Over the Lamingsattel starting at Präbichl
Leave your car at the end of the Laufstraße next to the
Kristallstüberl. Follow the track 871 in the direction of Leobner
Hütte. Near N47°31.714, E014°58.462' you are next to the ropeway
conveyor for the hut. Here turn right and follow track 870 in the
direction Trenchtling - Lamingsattel - Handl-Alm. Now you have to
walk uphill for a while until you arrive at the Lammingsattel-pass
(N47°32.205',014°59.000'). Here you'll get a first impression of
what the vista from the Hochturm will be like. Now go on through
mountain pines along the track 873 in the direction of Hochturm.
Not far after you reach the meadow (N47°32.071', E014°59.247') you
might follow the track to the right to visit the
Auf der Mauer-cache. To get to the Hochturm follow the track
accross the expanse. At N47°31.927', E15°00.339' a final steep
ascension will lead you to the summit.
2. Starting at Hiaslegg across Edelweißboden
Start at the
Hiaslegg-cache. I did not walk this route myself yet, but it is
supposed to be the more beautiful one since a lot of flowers are
growing along the track. Some of them are protected so don't pick
any!
Take along enough drinking water since there are neither mountain
huts nor springs in the upper parts of this mountain. The Leobner
hut is currently closed.
The cache is about 100m away from the summit cross and hidden
below an overhanging rock. It is hidden at a place where there is
no direct danger of falling down or dropping the cache. Watch out
nevertheless!
