You must be logged in with a Geocaching.com account to view the specific location of this geocache. It's free!
This Cache has been placed here specially for all the photographers
out there.
I know there are lots of GeoCachers that have a GPS in one hand and
a camera in the other every time they head out exploring the
wilderness.
This is a good old fashion photo exchange. It's not that different
from any other cache out there but instead of swapping toys and
prizes, you're trading photos. Make a good quality print
(approximately 4 x 6) of one of the many stunning photos you've
taken during your travels and leave it here for somebody else to
enjoy and hopefully pick up a good shot taken by one of your fellow
explorers to add the your collection.
The photo you leave can be of pretty much anything. It
doesn’t have to be a picture of GeoCaching or traveling. What
you will want is to make sure that the picture is something that
others will enjoy. And if you're not a pro photographer, don't
worry, that’s not what this is all about. The point is to
have fun trying a new approach to GeoCaching
This cash is planted right off of the runes on Mackenzie King's
estate. This location was chosen because of the photogenic nature
of its historic architecture.
Unfortunately like every game, this one has a couple of
rules:
1. What kind of photos?
Anything at all that you think someone would enjoy. Something with
a little artistic merit. Now this doesn't mean it has to be a pro
photo it just means nobody wants to a photo of you and the
relatives standing around singing happy birthday to Uncle
Buck.
2. Quality print?
Please make it a photo shop quality print. The box is big enough
for a standard 4 by 6 but if you want to try and fit a larger
picture in there, go for it. Just be for warned you may have to
fold it up a little bit.
3. What can I write on the back of it?
Any thing and everything. Details of the photo, your user
information if you'd like make a new friend or maybe the name of
your favorite GeoCache.
4. Keep it dry!
There are lots of zip-lock bags in the Cache for you to use. These
are photos so out in the wilderness water is the enemy.
5. I have a really kool wallpaper that I downloaded off the
internet, can I print that out?
No! You can't use a photo that you didn't take. Or at very least
you had to have had something to do with the taking of the photo.
downloading a completely random picture or cutting one out of a
magazine would completely defeat the purpose of this game.
