[PT]: O objectivo desta cache é levar-vos a um dos pontos mais altos da Serra dos Candeeiros e espero que, ao fazê-lo, possam disfrutar de uma boa caminhada pela serra.
[EN]: The objective of this cache is to take you to one of the highest points in the Serra dos Candeeiros, and by doing so, I hope you can enjoy a fine walk.
[PT]: A caminhada começa acima da aldeia da Bezerra. Sugiro que deixem o carro no local de estacionamento recomendado em vez de tentarem levar o veículo mais além, pois o objectivo é disfrutar da caminhada na serra e não poluir a mesma.
A caminhada total tem uma extensão de 6,7 km mais coisa menos coisa, mas com as paragens que se avizinham é uma distância que fica mais leve; se não se sentir em boa condição física não faça esta cache pois é preciso alguma resistência; leve água e um lanchezito.
O terreno não é muito agreste. Até inclui algumas porções em caminhos de terra batida e quando não os inclui não é difícil sendo que até podem levar calções se estiver calor, só se arranham se quiserem, mas recomendo calças ainda assim.
A cache inicial leva-vos a um moínho, e aviso de antemão que a primeira micro não se encontra no moínho.
A segunda cache também consta de uma micro. Aqui aproveitem para disfrutar da vista mas escusam de parar muito tempo pois ainda têm de encontrar a segunda micro.
Depois de alcançado o sucesso (ou não), podem simplesmente voltar para trás por um de vários caminhos.
Enquanto caminham estejam atentos à fauna e flora e respeitem a natureza. Há peneireiros na zona (Falco tinnunculus), águias, gralhas-de-bico-vermelho (Pyrrhocorax pyrrhocorax), e perdizes (Alectoris rufa). Na Primavera e Verão poderão observar variadas borboletas, sendo as mais exuberantes a Papilio machaon e a Iphiclides pheistameli, com destaque também para a Gonepteryx cleopatra e Colias croceus. Poderão encontrar a aranha Argiope bruennichi ou a sua prima Argiope lobata nas suas teias na vegetação rasteira. Um animal curioso que nunca tinha visto em acção e vi pela primeira vez enquanto andava a preparar esta cache foi um escaravelho-bosteiro. Lá ía ele com a sua poia todo contente. :)

[EN]: The walk starts above the village of Bezerra. I suggest you leave the car at the recommended parking spot, because the purpose of this cache is to make you walk through the mountain and not to pollute it.
The walk should be about 6,7 km more or less, but with the upcoming stops ahead this will seem a shorter distance; if you don't feel with a good physical condition, don't do this as you'll need some stamina to do it. The terrain isn't very harsh. The course even includes some well defined off-road tracks and, when it doesn't, it isn't hard, you might as well take shorts instead of pants if you'd like, you will only be scratched by the bushes if you want to, I recommend pants though. Take water and a small meal.
The first cache leads you to a windmill, in the vicinity of which you will have to find the first micro.
The second cache will also take you to a micro. At this spot will might want to take a break and enjoy the view but don't stay long because you still have to find the second micro.
After you succeeded (or not) just head back and enjoy the walk.
While you are walking that attention to the fauna and flora. You can find kestrels (Falco tinnunculus) hovering above, eagles and also the red-billed chough (Pyrrhocorax pyrrhocorax), and red-legged partridges (Alectoris rufa), among other birds. During Spring and Summer you can also observe several butterflies, the largest being Papilio machaon and Iphiclides pheistamelli, Gonepteryx cleopatra and Colias croceus should be in the air as well. You can also find the spider Argiope bruennichi or its cousin Argiope lobata among the vegetation hanging from their webs. A remarkable animal that I recently have seen in action in the area is the dung beetle. Saw a couple of them and one was happilly carrying its dung. :)
