První pisemná zminka o obci Vysocany lezici cca 1 km jizne od Noveho Bydzova pochazi z roku 1364. V te dobe uz tu stal dreveny kostel zasveceny svate Markete. Tento kostel byl koncem 17. stoleti prestaven a opet bylo jako stavebni material pouzito drevo. Kostel je trojlodni, obdelnikoveho pudorysu s drevenymi arkadami a petibokym prebytarem. Jizni kaple byla pristavena v roce 1770. Vnitrni vyzdoba kostela pochazi z konce 17. Stoleti. Soucasti kostela je drevena polygonalni zvonice, ve ktere jsou zaveseny tri zvony - sv.Bartolomej o hmotnosti 1700 kg z roku 1580, sv.Jan Krtitel o hmotnosti 380 kg a sv. Josef o hmotnosti 820 kg.

First written reference to the village Vysocany (around 1 km south of the town Novy Bydzov) comes back to 1364. Then there already was a wooden church consecrated to St Margaret. The church was completely reconstructed in the late 17th century; construction material was again timber. The triple-naved church has rectangular layout with wooden arcades and pentagonal presbytery. South chapel was built up in 1770. Interior decoration of the church comes from the late 17th century. A wooden polygonal belfry with three bells belongs to the church. The heaviest bell is St Bartholomew (1700 kg) from the year 1580, the others are called St John Baptist (380 kg) and St Joseph (820 kg).
