Geocache Description:

The peaceful community of Hop Island is being terrorized. There is something in the sea that is attacking swimmers. They can no longer enjoy the sea and the sun as they used to, and the spreading fear is affecting the numbers of tourists that are normally attracted to this island.

It is discovered that the danger is coming from a giant great white shark. After many attempts the great white shark won't go away and Sheriff Brody, with friends decide to go after the shark and kill it. The job proves more difficult than first imagined and soon the hunters become the hunted as they are killed one after another.

This seashore location should be approached with a maxium degree of carefulness. Although, great white sharks are seldom seen here the last sighting produced a tragedy of unspeakable proportions.

In 1983 a great white shark leapt out of the water, snatched a newlywed bride and dragged her back into the water. She was never seen again.

The only reminder of that event are the regular visits from that newlywed groom from 1983. He comes each Sunday and tosses some flowers into the water in memory of his lost bride. After an hour or so of deep reflection, he walks slowly away and returns again the next Sunday. It is truly a sad sight to see.
