The entrance of this trail is marked by two granite hitching posts. Parking is available roadside, across the street from the trail entrance, just north of the gun shop's driveway. N 43 17.569 W 071 36.320. It was muddy and buggy as of this writing and has one very small water crossing. This will be winter friendly and a fine snowshoe outing. Beware of notoriously iffy coordinates.
A cache (an ammo box) hidden to mark the 40th anniversary of the first humans to land on the moon. Even at six years old I remember watching the whole event unfold on TV, the "one giant leap for mankind".
