Shibayamagata is one of the big seashore lakes "Kaga 3 lake". exist in the southern part of Ishikawa. 2/3 in the gross area is reclaimed to use the hot spring and it has been used as a farmland before though it was a Shibayamagata of three lakes where the area is the largest. The east shore in the Shibayamagata is a straight line. It is because all on the lake there before. Cache was set up on the former lake that had been reclaimed. --------Japanese-------- 柴山潟は石川県南部に存在する、「加賀三湖」と云われる大きな潟湖の一つです。 かつては三湖のうちもっとも面積が大きい柴山潟でしたが、戦後の食糧不足解消と潟内から湧き出る温泉を利用するため1960年代に総面積の2/3が干拓され農地として利用されています。 柴山潟の東岸が直線なのは、かつてそこが全て湖上だったためで、東岸から東に広がる田園は全て昔は湖でした。 キャッシュはその干拓された元湖上のサイクリングコース内に設置しました。
