Die Babisnauer Pappel wurde 1808 von dem Gutsbesitzer Johann
Gottlieb Becke als Grenzmarkierung gepflanzt. Die Schwarzpappel ist
von vielen Standorten in Dresden und Umgebung aus zu sehen und
deshalb eine klassische Landmarke. 1890 wird neben der Pappel noch
eine Eiche, die sogenannte Bismarck-Eiche gepflanzt. Der sehr
schöne Blick ist von dem 1999 neu erbauten Aussichtsturm (der
bisher vierte Turm seit 1885) noch besser und man kann das gesamte
Umland – Dresdner Elbtalkessel, Sächsische Schweiz – überblicken.
Unter den beiden Bäumen bietet ein Steintisch die Möglichkeit eines
Picknicks. Auf dem Weg zum Cache könnt ihr bei N 50° 58.690 E 013°
44.990 parken und dann zu Fuß die letzten Meter bis zur Pappel

The “Babisnauer Pappel” was
planted 1808 by the landowner Johann Gottlieb Becke as a boundary
