Geocache Description:

Update 4/10/20 - small cache (formerly a micro) in the woods, rolling, well kept, trails steeper portions can be slippery after the rain, or depending on the ground cover. (leaves, pine needles, mud) ---- Updated March 26, 2011: Cache moved due to multiple "campfires" set at GZ. Campfires that are not allowed in these woods.

One of ? caches to celebrate logging 17, and hence this is a puzzle too.

This one isn't a puzzle in the traditional sense, but more like a "wayfinding scavenger hunt," so to speak.

Cache is a film canister small lock and lock, hidden just a bit off the blue trail. From Parking at the Tucker Brook Trail head on Savage Road in Milford, follow the white trail to blue.

Coords are for the first way point. Once you are here... continue on a bearing of 169 degrees (and 25'11" if you like) for .1821 km. For the metrically challenged you will also be within the zone of 0.11 miles from the W.P. according to your handy little GPSr.

Once you get to "The Rock" that was once the Final location - head .093 in an Easterly bearing to the New GZ. Which, to help simplify things... also rocks. Well, it rock.

The real puzzle of this cache, is to find GZ by staying on the trails.... of course if your mathematically inclined you'll skip all the meandering (which is half the fun)...

Difficulty is an estimate - depending on your thought process this'll be a piece of cake, or a wayfinding challenge. With a little perseverance, and good geosense you should zero right in on it. Share your adventures with us, but don't give away too much! Please rehide the container as good, or better than you found it. Congrats to Wemedge for the FTF! ;)

Update April 2020. Cache container upgraded to a small lock and lock style. Kudos and congratulations to everyone who managed to find the micro version. Sorry to those who searched in vain while it was either under a year or two's worth of leaf-litter or was absconded by muggles or critters. Hopefully the bigger version will prove a better fit.
