A beach CITO in Santa Cruz
Remembering Bud "50sumtin" Gawlik, let's clean up Santa Cruz's Seabright Beach. Bud organized many CITO events several on Santa Cruz's beaches. Join us in remembering him and pick up some litter on this very popular beach. Meet about 11:00AM at the jetty behind Aldo's and we will work our way to Mott Ave. Based on past experience I expect this will be relatively quick so I expect we can be done by 12:00. If you want to stay longer that would be fine. We'll bring some garbage bags, but we'd be happy if you brought your own too. If you have grabbers, gloves or other implements you like to aid in picking up trash bring them too.
Our experience with these beach CITO's is the area never seems as bad the day of the CITO as it did before, and with all the help the clean up goes pretty fast. We will leave the trash at the Mott Ave. trash can area.
There is public parking, but due to the day and time it may be difficult to find spaces. Since we plan to end at Mott Ave. you may opt for parking anywhere between or near and simply walk a loop.
At your convenience, please go to Wilder Ranch and see the trackable 50Sumtin memorial bench made possible by the generous donations of bay area geocachers at N36 57.650 W122 05.014
