Aguilella
Enclavament municipal de Barbens envoltat pels de Tornabous, Anglesola i Tàrrega i comarcal del Pla d'Urgell a l'Urgell.
A poc més d'1 Km i amb una extensió de 3.1Km2 és gairebé tan gran com la part central del municipi, de 4.2Km2.
Estem en zona de llarga història de relació amb el Templers, i aquest enclavament no n'és pas una excepció. Sembla que va ser Arnau de Torroja qui a meitats del s. XII va cedir vinyes de Lleida -cedit pel compte de Barcelona després de la captura de la ciutat- i altres terres de Grallera, Aguilella, Barbens i Tortosa. Sembla també que aquest mateix Arnau va arribar posteriorment a Gran Mestre de l'Ordre.
Actualment és un terreny eminentment agrícola, creuat en el seu extrem est per una obra d'una importància cabdal per vàries comarques: el Canal d'Urgell.
Podeu arribar al cache creuant d'oest a est tot l'enclavament o passejant pel costat del propi canal. Podeu intentar trobar la capella de Santa Maria al costat de cal Sociats, però no és res de l'altre món.
El cache és un cau de conills abandonat (confio!). 8/12/2010: reposat en un altre emplaçament.

Municipality enclave of Barbens into Tornabous, Anglesola and Tàrrega and comarcal enclave of Pla d'Urgell into Urgell.
With 3.1 Km2 it's almost as big as the central part of the municipality, of 4.2Km2.
We are on a Templar's historic zone and this enclave is not an exception. It seems Arnold of Torroja was the first member of his family to favour the Temple: in the middle years of the twelfth century made grants of vineyards in Lérida -- received from the count of Barcelona after the city's capture -- and of other land at Grallera, Aguilella, Barbens, and Tortosa. It seems also this same Arnold became later Grand Master of the Order.
Now, it's a farmer land, crossed in its East part by a crucial civilian work for all neigbourgh counties: the Urgell channel.
You can reach the cache crossing all the enclave from West to Est or walking by the channel side. You can try to find Santa Maria Chapel, near Can Sociats, but it's not worth the work.
The cache is on an abandoned (I hope!) rabbit lair. 8/12/2010: rehidden in another place.
