Varsinais-Suomen korkein kohta on 163,9 metriä korkea Särämäki
Salon Kiikalassa, Johannislundin harjualueella. Särämäki koostuu
pitkästä jyrkänteisestä kalliojaksosta, jonka korkeimman paikan
tietämille kätkö on piilotettu. Paikka itsessään ei tarjoa upeita
näköaloja, sillä alue on kokonaisuudessaan melkoisen korkealla ja
korkea puusto estää näkemisen kovin pitkälle.
Särämäen ympäristössä on lehtoja ja kaakkoisjyrkänteen alla
varjoisaa lehmuslehtoa.
Harvinaiseksi mäen tekee myös se, ettei sen huippu ole jääkauden
jälkeen ollut koskaan merenpinnan alapuolella, eli alue on
”supra-akvaattinen.”
Ainakin voit purkilla käytyäsi todeta käyneesi Varsinais-Suomen
korkeimmalla kohdalla. Ja mikäli tykkää metsässä liikkumisesta,
niin mitään suoraa polkua sen huipulle ei (tietääksemme) mene.

The highest place in Varsinais-Suomi (a geographical region in
South-Western Finland) is Särämäki, which highest ”peak” stands
163,9 m above sea level. The hill is quite long in (more or less)
Southwest-Northeast line, and the cache is hidden next to the
highest spot. Place in itself doesn't offer anything special in the
way of beatiful landscapes and such, since the area is generally
quite high and tall trees block the view quite efficiently.
There are groves around the hill. Highest parts of the hill have
never been under the sea after last ice age, which is quite rare in
southwestern Finland.
There is no real path going to the top (that we know of.)
