Another cache which shows sacral buildings in Nitra.

Annu a sv.

This church is very valuable late-roman object.
The first Romanesque church was built under Tobola by Zobor’s Benedictines in 2nd half of the 13th century. In later reconstructions reflect elements of Gothic and Baroque style. In 1752 the church expanded, another renovation was made in the early 19th century when was built the empire outbuilding.

Church with a closed presbytery, sacristy and a built tower was used until the early 20th century, when it was officially closed after the fire. The church was restored in 1937-1938. During the reconstruction was discovered Gothic frescoes from the late 13th and early 14th century. Frescos are in two horizontal strips of each other and show christological cycle, depicting Zobor’s monastery. They restored academic artist Jelinek in 1938.
On the main altar from 20 century is painted picture of the Virgin Mary (1752), side Baroque statues represent St. Anna and St. Joachim (1757) and they are from the original altar. Part of the church furnishing is monstrance (2 mid-18th century), liturgical chalice (1760), or the folk baroque woodcarving "Crucified".
Last modified tower, facade and interior were made early 90s of the 20th century from the cash collections of the faithful.
