Chrobáky
Uz pri vyslovení tohto slova niektorí z nás s nechutou pohnu brvou.
Nájdu sa vsak aj ich zástancovia. A mnohym sa dokonca aj pácia. V
kazdom prípade, ani ich neprajníci ich nemozu prehliadnut. Boli tu,
su tu a pokial bude svet svetom, spolu so svojimi nasledovnikmi tu
aj vzdy budu.
Zopar faktov
V súcasnosti po Zemi pobehuje, ci poletuje viac ako 350 000 druhov
chrobákov (lat. Coleoptera), z ktorych velká cast zila uz v dobe
dinosaurov. Pocet ich druhov zistenych na Slovensku sa priblizuje k
7 000. Vseobecne sa predpoklada, ze nateraz nebolo objavenych
dalsích niekolko milionov druhov chrobákov a ze tvoria asi stvrtinu
vsetkych známych foriem zivota. Velkostne (od 0,5 cm až do
viac ako 20 cm) i tvarovo (od uzkych „tyciek“ az po
„pologule“) su velmi rozmanite. Typicke pre vsetky z
nich je telo kryte silnou ochrannou vrstvou (kutikulou) vrátane
predného páru krídiel (kroviek). Nápadná je u nich aj zvacsená a
mierne pohyblivá predohrud krytá pevnym stítom; zostavajuce casti
tela su nepohyblivo spojene so zadockom. Takato stavba ich síce
obmedzuje v pohybe, no na druhej strane im umozni prenikat do
roznych ukrytov.
Este menej zaujimavosti
Medicejovci v stredovekom Taliansku vyuzivali pri presadzovani
svojich zaujmov aj chrobaky - jedince Pluzgiernika lekarskeho. Z
ich tiel ziskavali jed urceny pre svojich nepriatelov (tym
nepriatelom nemohli byt zajace, ani jeze, lebo na ne tento jed
neucinkuje).
Neprehliadnutelne su aj Svatlusky svatojanske, ktoré pri svojom
svetielkovani vyrabaju najuspornejsie svetlo na svete so 100%
ucinnostou (na porovnanie ziarivky premienaju prevaznu cast na
teplo a iba mensiu cast na svetlo, ziarovky su na tom este
horsie).
Jednemu chrobakovi sa dostalo dokonca tej cti, ze sa stal nastrojom
politickej propagandy - v hlavnej ulohe Pásavka zemiaková
.
Skrysa
Uvodne suradnice Vas privedu k nenapadnej tabuli pripominajucej
jedneho minimalne rovnako vyznamneho chrobaka ako je "mandelinka".
Tato sa nachadza na brehu mensieho rybnika na okraji Modry.
Chrobak, ktoremu je tato tabula venovana, sa na nasom uzemi nikdy
nevyskytoval a zial, dnes uz patri medzi vyhynute (aj za jeho
vyhynutim stoji clovek). Napriek tomu zanechal po sebe nezmazatelnu
stopu.
Svoj povod mal na ostrovoch s miernym podnebim v Atlantickom
oceane, odkial expandoval prakticky na vsetky strany (aj napriek
svojej nedostatocnej adaptabilite). V zivotnom prostredi, v ktorom
sa prirodzene vyskytoval, bolo mozné objavit aj ineho - rovnako
neprehliadnutelneho - chrobaka, ktory prezil do dnesnych dni. Ich
koexistencia bola narusena nielen vnutornymi okolnostami, ale aj
necitlivym zasahom cloveka.
Nas zaujima dvojslovne pomenovanie prave tohto druheho chrobaka
(nie toho z tabule). Mali by ste ho vediet identifikovat podla
chrobaka, ktoremu je venovana tabula. Na najdenie skryse je
potrebne zistit:
- pocet pismen prveho mena toho druheho chrobaka (A)
- pocet pismen druheho mena toho druheho chrobaka (B).

Oba chrobaky su vseobecne zname a ich pomenovanie vie
spravne urcit nielen koleopterológ (prirodovedec zaoberajuci sa
chrobakmi), ale aj bezný smrtelník. Preto zrejme nebudete
potrebovat ziadnu odbornu literaturu. Ale ak Vam tato tema vobec
nic nehovori, nehanbite sa a ten atlas chrobakov odlozeny vzadu na
najvyssej polici si kludne vezmite.
Pri rybniku si mozete v pokoji posediet. Hoci parkovanie je mozne
aj pri nom, doporucujeme peknu par minutovu prechadzku z centra
Modry.
Prosime uspesnych hladacov, aby vo svojich logoch neprezradzali
nic, co by ostatnym hladacom mohlo zmensit radost z hry. Rovnako
prosim zaobchadzajte so skrysou setrne a po najdeni ju uvedte do
povodneho stavu. Za ustretovost vopred dakujeme. Odporucame skrysu
vyberat bez "obalu", v ktorom je umiestnena.

Beetles
Some of us are scared of them, however, there are many champions of
the beetles. And many even like them. In any case, they can´t be
overlooked. They were, they are and they always will be with all
tham descendants.
Some facts
Presently run or fly around the world more
than 350 000 kinds of beetles (Coleoptera lat.), most of tham lived
already in age of dinosaurs. Number of genotype found in Slovakia
is close to 7 000. It assumes that few million genotypes of beetles
were not discorered yet and that they are about a quarter of all
known forms of life. Size (from 0.5 cm to more than 20 cm) and
shape (from narrow "bars" to "hemisphere") of tham are very
various. Typical for them is body covered by strong protecting
layer (cuticle), including front pair of wings (elytron). Striking
is also large and mobile breast covered by strong shield, the
remaining parts of the body are stationary connected with abdomen.
This building is limiting in their movement, but on the other hand,
will enable them to penetrate into various hiding places.
Even less interests
D´Medici in middle ages in Italy used in promoting their interests
the beetle – Spanish fly. They acquired the poison of their
bodies meant for their enemies (enemies couldn´t be rabbits or
bristles because this poison has no effect on this two).
Don´t overlook glow-worms, which are the most economical producers
of light in the world with 100% efficiency (compared with
fluorescent lamps, which convert fair amount to the heat and only a
minor part to the light, bulbs are worse)..
One beetle got even the honor that become a tool of political
propaganda - starring Colorado Beetle.
In Czechoslovakia was Colorado Beetle called also American Beetle
and was told, that this beetle was embattled here by westerly
imperialists to destroy the socialism by ruining the harvest of
potatos.
Cache
Coordinates above will lead you to a discreet board reminding a
beetle at least as outstanding as colorado beetle. This can be
found near a small pond in small town Modra. The beetle from this
board had never exist in our country and, unfortunately, is die out
nowadays (it was caused by man as well). Nevertheless, he left an
indelible footprint.
He comes from the islands with mild climate in the Atlantic Ocean,
from where he expanded to all directions (despite insufficient of
adaptability). The environment in which it was located, were
discovered the other beetle, who survived to this day. Their
coexistence has been disturbed not only by internal factors but
also by insensitive human intervention.
We are interested in two-verbal naming of the other beetle (not
that on the board). You should know it identified by the beetle on
the table. To find the cache is necessary to determine:
- number of letters in the first name (in english) of the other
beetle (C)
- number of letters in the second name (in english) of the other
beetle (D).

Both beetles are well known and their name can determine
also an amateur. It probably will not require any literature, but
if you want to, do not hesitate and take the encyclopedia of
beetles you have in the highest shelf and bring it with you.
The pond is easily accessible even few minutes walk from the centre
of Modra, and you can have a rest here.
