Rismalahti is a beatiful bay in the island of Salonsaari on the
mighty lake Päijänne. There is sheltered natural harbour for small
boats and a sandy beach for swimming. It also hosts a scouting camp
site with a rather well equipped hut and a sauna by the lakeshore.
The area is owned by the state.
When the waters aren't frozen, there are always boats and people
in Rismalahti, but the cache is conveniently situated on the
opposite shore to the harbour and can easily be found without being
noticed by them. The container is a largish regular, which is not
completely airtight and therefore everything in it should be stored
inside plastic bags as a protection against moisture.
Rismalahti on luonnonkaunis lahti Asikkalan Salonsaaressa
eteläisellä Päijänteellä. Lahdessa on luonnonsatama pienveneille ja
hiekkapohjainen uimaranta. Siellä on myös partiolaisten leirikeskus
hyvinvarusteltuine mökkeineen ja rantasaunoineen. Alue on
Metsähallituksen omistamaa.
Vapaan veden aikaan Rismalahdessa on aina veneitä ja ihmisiä,
mutta kätkö on sijoitettu lahden vastakkaiselle puolelle ja se on
helppo löytää ilman pelkoa nähdyksi tulemisesta. Purkki on isohko
regular, joka ei ole aivan ilmatiivis, joten tavarat on syytä
suojata muovipussilla kosteudelta.
