In the hearth of Transylvania, in the south-west of region Harghita
it is a place named Simonesti. This place is between at the 1062 m
high Firtus and 932 m high Rezteto mountains. Mihaileni lays at 15
km from Odorheiu Secuiesc. Here flows the Salonu little river in to
the Nyiko river. We can find Bentid on the opposite flow of the
Salonu watercourse. In this place we can find two places Lower and
Over Bentid.

The place story:
In the hearth of Transylvania, in the south-west of

between at the 1062 m high Firtus and 932 m high Rezteto mountains.
Mihaileni lays at 15 km from Odorheiu Secuiesc. Here flows the
Salonu little river in to the Nyiko river. We can find Bentid on
the opposite flow of the Salonu watercourse. In this place we can
find two places Lower and Over Bentid. The population of Bentid has
changed a lot in time: in the beginning it raised very fast, but in
the XX century it decreased.
All the people who lives in Bentid, are Seklers, and
most of the are Unitarians, but we can find some Catholics and
Calvinistic people too. The people who are living in Bentid, are
very simple and kind. They hold together and they respect their
leader. In the other hand they love the nature and animals.
Approaching Bentid:
1. On the route between Odorheiu Secuiesc and Sovata
(13A), in Bisericani we have to take left along Feher Nyiko in the
Morareni direction (13B). After we live Morareni we will meet a
bridge what is crossing the Salonu rivulet. Before the bridge we
have to take right and in 1 km we have too arrive in Bentid.
2. On the route between Odorheiu Secuiesc and Cristuru
Secuiesc, on the Cristuru Secuiesc limit we have to take left along
the Feher Nyiko (134A) to Ruganesti direction Ruganesti - Simonesti
– Cadaciu Mic - Cadaciu Mare - Cobatesti – Mihaileni. In Mihaileni
when we cross bridge on the Salonu rivulet, we have to take left
and in 1 km we have too arrive in Bentid.
Approaching the box:
We start out journey from the center of Bentid, near
the store (N 46° 22,167' E 25° 10,437' 499 m), here we can leave
our car. From here we take right to the last houses where in a
small cross (N 46° 22,215' E 25° 10,579' 527 m) we take right again
up to the hill, across the cemetery, to the top of the hill. (N 46°
22,120' E 25° 10,968' 608 m). We have to take care of the
blackthorn on the way to the top. After we enjoyed the beautiful
view of the place we have to go around of the wood and enter in to
the bush. From here in 3-4 meters there are a cuted down tree.
Between this tree we can find the hidden box (18x10x10cm).
