Located on an island in the Dan River. You will need a boat to reach this cache.
"3-Dan Island Cache" is so named due to its location in the DAN River, in DANville, and placed by esdDAN!
While kayaking on this stretch of the river recently, we realized that it's a shame that more people don't take advantage of the recreational opportunities along the Dan here in Danville. What better way to encourage visitors than to place a cache out here? The island is just minutes away from the Abreu-Grogan boat launch area. Once you get on the island the camoed peanut butter jar will be in plain site. We found the very tip of the island to be the easiest access point. Please be sure to place the cache back as you found it.
While you're out here, continue to paddle up stream for a very enjoyable, peaceful adventure!
There is a small treat in store for the FTF!
