Geocache Description:

What the heck is a Kilocache?

It is 1000 caches. Back in the day, a kilocache all in one place would require a good sized barn to hold the contents. Today, with bisons and nanos all the rage, a kilocache could neatly fit in the back of the van. But I digress…

This is a celebration of two things:
1. Reaching 1.1 kilocaches (1100 finds) and
2. the retirement of my ancient Garmin 45 GPS receiver.

Why 1.1 kilocaches? Because by the time I got off my butt to hide this, I was way past 1000 finds, and since everyone puts up 1000 find caches, why not do something unique? In actuality, this should be more like 1.154 kilocaches, or maybe I should just round up to 1.2 kilocaches. Ultimately, I’ve decided to stay with 1.1 kilocaches.

And the 25 year old Garmin 45 was forcibly retired when it threw a hissy fit and wouldn’t acquire satellites on a particular day so I tossed it across the car and broke the antenna. Now with my little Garmin Legend I’m finding caches in such places like forests which eluded me before.

But anyway, back to this cache. Since I hate puzzles, and usually cannot solve them worth of beans, I decided to save this one for all my caching pals out there, so I don’t have to solve it myself. So, from the inner reaches of the warped mind of DX Hunter, here is the puzzle below. This is the standard puzzle cache setup - you know the drill - solve puzzle, figure out where the cache really is, go find cache. Maybe.

If your puzzle solving ends up with the location being in another country, you probably want to recheck your work. Hint: The actual location is within 1,4 miles of the listed coordinates.

RULES OF THE CACHE:

1. Do your OWN work on this! No PAF (Phone A Friend) allowed. I will give hints upon request. Some might even be useful. If you get help from other than the owner, then you cannot claim a find. If you cheat, I will hunt you down. I have the surveillance and spies in place and I KNOW what you are saying on your cell phone and at caching events! (heh heh)

2. Do not park near cache. Leave your vehicle outside the fence and walk or bike in about 500 feet. If you don't find a fence, you in the wrong spot!

3. No large search parties. Please keep it to 4 people max - i.e. not more than the usual group you hunt with. The landowner will not like vehicles or large gatherings here.

Are you ready??
OK, here goes:

This is tough cache - successful finders have reported multiple trips to find it.

Other hints: It's not in or on a man made structure. There is a structure nearby for nature calls. It's not on the ground, so no need to rake the leaves. It's not hanging on a string or wire, either.

Remember! Do you own work! Do not post hints, suggestions or observations. You can share those with me if you like. Don't spoil this for everyone else. You all will eventually find it on your own. It shouldn't be that hard if you approach from the right direction.

Be careful going down into there to retrieve the cache. Be safe on the trail. Good Luck!
